I always assumed that a Muslim was a follower of Allah as revealed by the prophet Mohammad. If that is not correct, I haven't a clue.

I will give ya hint Glenn, a Muslim can be a Jew a Christian or a follower of Islam. Says so in the Qur'an.

100% correct. Not to mention that Muslims are responsible for much of our modern world; everything from coffee to distillation to the windmill.

Funny...on another board, someone named "Dice" posted this *exact* same thing...

...hmmmmmmm.

What - you are just figuring out that they are one in the same?

Then I guess somebody better define "Muslim" for me. Because I, as a Christian, could never be a Muslim as I understand it and still be a Christian.

No, I did a while ago, and posted something to that effect...and "James Hoffa Sr" told me to "get a life!". I pointed it out here again to see if he would respond to it.

A Muslim is someone who follows Islam. The most important part of Islam is the fact that it actually doesn’t require you to believe in Islam to go to heaven, unlike most other monotheistic religions do. The Qur’an talks about and names 124 prophets, including Abraham, Noah, Jonah, Moses, Jesus, Mohammad, etc. all of which brought the word of god to their people of the time with one variation or another of the same message. In the Qur’an, it states that to be able to go to heaven, one only need to believe in the message of one of these prophets and to believe in one, all powerful god. Comparatively, for Christianity, if one does not believe in Jesus as the son of god, he will go to hell.

The current off topic discussion should move to the proper forum.

Well some of the rumors about Obama keep saying that he is a secret follower of Islam (Muslim) and only goes to a Christian church to provide cover.

That said I don't see where this is all that far afield.

I see a thread that moved from BHO rumors to a religion discussion concerning Islam.
Admitedly interesting and educational, unfortunetly wrong forum IMO. BHO attends the venue wherever it benefits his political career.

I would seriously love to see you contribute something of value to a conversation just once. I have never seen someone purposely act like a lap dog more than you have. You just attach yourself to someone else's leg and repeat their opinions. It's laughable, especially when you provide commentary on other people's opinions.

What's laughable is your critique concerning me. As a matter of fact
what you've stated is a repeat made by others. I haven't lost any sleep over them either.

I'm well aware that others have observed before that you are a lap dog. What I find most humorous is that you complained about things being off topic, yet you haven't contributed anything of value to the original discussion.
